Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 June 2026

These terms govern your use of MyLeaseCheck ("we", "us", "our") and the lease analysis reports we provide. By purchasing or using our service, you agree to these terms.

Important: MyLeaseCheck is not legal advice. Our reports are general information only, produced with the help of AI. We are not a law firm, we are not solicitors, and using our service does not create a lawyer-client relationship. For advice specific to your circumstances, consult a qualified tenancy advocate or solicitor. Free tenancy advice is also available from your state consumer affairs body.

1. What we provide

MyLeaseCheck analyses a residential tenancy agreement you upload and produces a report highlighting potential issues, clauses worth reviewing, and general information about tenant rights under the relevant state legislation. The specific contents depend on the tier you purchase, as described on our website.

2. What we do not provide

3. Accuracy and reliance

We take care to base our analysis on current tenancy legislation at the time your report is produced. However, laws change frequently, individual circumstances vary, and the interpretation of any clause can depend on facts we are not aware of. You should not rely on our report as your sole basis for any decision. We are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on a report, to the extent permitted by law.

4. Your responsibilities

5. Payment

Prices are shown on our website in Australian dollars (AUD). Payment is processed securely through Stripe. One-time reports are charged once; the Landlord/Agent plan is a recurring monthly subscription until cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time through our billing portal, effective at the end of your current billing period.

6. Refunds

Our refund policy is set out separately on our Refunds page and forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Intellectual property

The reports we produce are for your personal use. The MyLeaseCheck name, branding, website, and report format remain our property. You may share your own report with your household, landlord, agent, or advisor, but you may not resell or commercially redistribute our reports or templates.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our service is limited to the amount you paid us for the report in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

9. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
